According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, in January-October 2018 Russia imported 53.4 mn pairs of leather footwear, up 16.6% year-on-year. In terms of value, leather footwear import increased 14.5% up to $1.6 bn.
In October, leather footwear import declined by 36.5% month-on-month down to 3.3 mn pairs.
Clothes import into Russia in January-October grew by 7.8% up to over $6 bn.
Cotton fabric import increased 8.8% up to 226.9 mn sqm in physical terms. In terms of value it was up 14.2% to $132.6 mn.
Cotton fabric export from Russia grew by 8.7% up to 70.2 mn sqm physically and by 0.3% up to $38.6 mn in terms of value.
