According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, during January-October 2018 Russia’s export of sawn goods made more than 16.1 mn tons, up 6.1% year-on-year.
In terms of value, sawn goods export grew 14% up to $3.8 bn.
Logs export declined 4.9% down to 15.1 mn cbm. In terms of value, logs export was up 1.2% making $1.2 bn.
Plywood export increased 8.4% up to almost 2.2 mn cbm in terms of volume and surged 43.6% up to $1.2 bn in term of value.
Wood pulp export grew 1.5% up to more than 1.7 mn tons in terms of tonnage and 24.6% up to $1.1 bn in terms of value.
Newsprint export increased by 3.1% to some 962.5 thousand tons in terms of tonnage. In terms of value, it was up 38.6% to $534 mn.
