Maersk Changes Far East Rotation

  • Maersk Line made changes to its Far East services w.e.f. October.

    Two services, PH4 and PH8, are replaced by two new ones PH3 and PH5, which include Russian Far East ports of Vostochny and Vladivostok.

    PH3 is operated with six 1,700 TEU vessels, the ports rotation is: Shanghai – Busan – Vladivostok – Kwangyang – Inchon – Kwangyang – Hakata – Qingdao – Xiamen – Hong Kong – Shenzhen (Yantian) – Cagayan de Oro – Cebu – General Santos – Davao – Cagayan de Oro – Shanghai.

    PH5 deploys nine 3,000 TEU vessels, the port rotation is: Ningbo – Shanghai – Busan – Vostochny – Busan – Tianjin – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ho Chi Minh – Laem Chabang – Manila – Batangas – Shanghai – Ningbo – Kaohsiung – Manila – Subic Bay – Ningbo.

    Busan, Vostochny and Hakata have been removed from the IA5 service, which is now operated by five ships of around 1,700 TEU instead of seven.

    The new IA5 rotation as follows: Shanghai – Ningbo – Hong Kong – Shenzhen (Yantian) – Tanjung Pelepas – Yangon – Tanjung Pelepas – Singapore – Ho Chi Minh – Danang – Hong Kong.
