According to the RF Federal Customs Service’ statistics, in January-August 2018 Russia exported 169.2 mn tons of crude oil, down 0.9% year-on-year.
In terms of value crude oil export grew 35.7% up to $82.4 bn.
Oil products export decreased 0.9% down to 102.1 mn tons. In terms of value it increased 31.7% up to $51.6 bn.
Diesel fuel export grew 7.7% tonnage up to 37.8 mn tons in terms of tonnage and 43.2% up to $22.3 bn in terms of value.
Petrol export was down 1.9% to over 2.9 mn ton in terms of tonnage and up 21.9% to more than $1.7 bn in terms of value.
Natural gas export increased 9.9% up to 148.5 bn cbm in terms of volume and 33.2% up to $31.3 bn in terms of value.
Liquefied natural gas export surged 72.9% up to 26.8 mn tons, its value grew 91.2% up to $3.8 bn.
According to the RF Minister of Energy, Russia is not planning to increase its oil production up to 12 mn bpd in the near future, as it would not comply with the country’s social and economic development strategy.
