The dam protecting St. Petersburg from floods was closed September 26 at 11-24 Moscow time due to a flood threat.
This means that no vessels can leave or enter the port.
According to the Directorate of the Flood Prevention Facility Complex, the dam may be opened at 2-4 a.m. on September 27 depending on the weather conditions and forecast.
