According to the RF Federal Customs Service Statistics, during January-July 2018 Russia exported some 27.5 mn tons of ferrous metals, up 13.5% year-on-year.
In terms of value, ferrous metals export grew 34.1% up to $13.9 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export increased 14.7% to over 9.5 mn tons. In terms of value, this commodity export was up 46.8% to some $4.8 bn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export declined 10.5% down to 4.8 mn tons. In terms of value, iron and unalloyed steel flat section export increased 8.2% up to $2.9 bn.
Cast iron export grew 32.1% up to 3.4 mn tons. In terms of value, cast iron export surged 44.5% up to some $1.2 bn.
Ferroalloys export was up 6.4% to 470.1 thousand tons worth $792.4 mn (+8.1%).
