Russia’s import of cars during January-July 2018 amounted to 162.4 thousand units, increasing 18.9% year-on-year.
In terms of value, car import, according to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, grew 12.1% to exceed $4 bn.
Truck import declined 4.2% down to 13.1 thousand units.
However, in terms of value truck import increased 17.5% up to $1.16 bn.
Car export grew by 2.2% up to 50.2 thousand units.
In terms of value, car export was down 12.9% to $698.9 mn.
Truck export was up 4.4% to 7.1 thousand units.
In terms of value, truck export increased 2.5% up to $156.1 mn.
