According to the RF Federal Customs Service Statistics, during January-June 2017 Russia exported 23.6 mn tons of ferrous metals, up 13.8% year-on-year.
In terms of value, ferrous metals export grew 33.4% up to $11.88 bn.
Intermediate iron and unalloyed steel products export increased 13.7% to over 8.2 mn tons. In terms of value, this commodity export was up 44.7% to $4.1 bn.
Iron and unalloyed steel flat section export declined 11% down to 4.1 mn tons. In terms of value, iron and unalloyed steel flat section export increased 7.4% up to $2.5 bn.
Cast iron export grew 34.5% exceeding 3 mn tons. In terms of value, cast iron export surged 48.4% up to $1.1 bn.
Ferroalloys export was up 2.4% to 397.4 thousand tons worth $664.7 mn (+3.1%).
