Russian and Korean Railways Sign MoU

  • Russian Railways and Korean Railways (Korail) signed a Memorandum of understanding on June 22 in Moscow.

    The document provides for cooperation in rail transportation and logistics projects.

    The parties agreed to study options for organizing railway transportation between Republic of Korea, Russia and Europe including the tripartite project od linking the Transkorean Railway with the Transsiberian.

    The parties recognized the growth in container traffic between Russia and South Korea, which made some 47 thousand TEU during January-May 2018, up 40% year-on-year.
