Azov and Caspian Freight Market, Week 24, 2018

  • Both Caspian and Azov sea-river segments are remaining relatively flat. No significant changes in the prevailing situation are to be seen.

    The prolonged holidays in Russia are over by now, but the Islamic world is on the verge of the Ramadan Holidays. This is most likely going to lead the to sideward market movement for a week or even more – until July, according to Rufco shipbrokers.

    Freight rates to the Sea of Marmara from Rostov make $16-17 per ton.

    Freight rates from Rostov to SE Black Sea ports are $14-15 per ton.

    Current freight rates from Astrakhan to Iran make $27-29 per ton.
