Azov and Caspian Freight Market, Week 20, 2018

  • The market has finally touched the bottom and today there are first signs of a possible market recovery.

    Cargoes from Volga River both towards Turkey and Iran are well quoted today over the market.

    According to Rufko shipbrokers, is it just for budgeting purposes, but there is a likelihood that these rates might materialize soon.

    Moreover, in a week’s period some parcels are expected to be load ready at Azov sea ports.

    Freight rates to the Sea of Marmara from Rostov make $15-16 per ton.

    Freight rates from Rostov to SE Black Sea ports are $13-14 per ton.

    The Caspian market remains intact, but there could be a small rise in freight levels during the week.

    Current freight rates from Astrakhan to Iran make $32-35 per ton.
