According to the RF Federal Customs Service Statistics, during January-February 2018 Russia exported about 2.9 bn cbm of logs, down 0.3% year-on-year.
In terms of value, logs export was up 9.2% making $243.3 mn.
Sawn goods export made 2.4 mn tons, up 4.1% year-on-year. In terms of value, sawn goods export grew 21.6% up to $588.2 mn.
Plywood export increased 7.8% to 404.3 thousand cbm physically and 30.9% to some $201 mn in term of value.
Wood pulp export grew 8.4% to 327.4 thousand tons physically and surged 57.4% to $218.9 mn in terms of value.
Newsprint export dropped 11.9% to 158.7 thousand tons physically. In terms of value, it remained on the previous year’s level at $74.7 mn.
