In 2017, Russia imported 51.6 mn pairs of leather footwear, up 14.4% year-on-year. In terms of value, leather footwear import grew, according to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, by 40% to $1.5 bn.
Clothes import value amounted to $6.58 bn, 25% above the figure for 2016.
Cotton fabric import increased 48.5% up to 250.3 mn sqm physically and 36.4% to $141.7 mn in terms of value.
Russia’s export of cotton fabrics declined 7.8% to 83.7 mn sqm physically, but grew 17.8% to $48.2 mn in term of value.
