By order of the Harbour Master of the Big port of St. Petersburg, new ice restrictions are introduced in St. Petersburg w.e.f. February 24, in case ice is 10-15 cm thick.
Barges moved by tugs and vessels with no ice class will be banned from sailing in the port basin and in the approach channels.
Vessels without an ice class will be allowed only with icebreaker assistance.
Vessels with Ice1 and higher ice class will be allowed with icebreaker assistance or independently, with a permission and recommendations of the icebreaker.
