RZD Logistics has delivered 41 40’ container loaded with timber and sawn goods from Krasnoyarsk to Chengdu in the framework of its Panda Land Bridge container train project.
The customer, Lesfond trading company, is along-standing exporter to China and is interested in expanding its sales geography. Currently, future deliveries are being negotiated.
RZD Logistics hopes there will be other exporters who will use the service in Krasnoyarsk region. Apart from timber exporters, Panda Land Bridge may be of interest to exporters of manufactured goods, consumer goods, car parts, construction materials and other goods.
Service regularity will depend on shippers’ demand. RZD Logistics is prepared to offer service for export from Krasnoyarsk to Chengdu on 14-days basis.
Speaking on the potential back load, RZD Logistics expects that it will be no problem returning platforms taking into account the traditional misbalance between China’s export to Russia and Russian export to China.
