  • RSD Logistic in cooperation with the Vietnamese logistics operator Ratraco has completed a test shipment of cosmetics produced by the Russian manufacturer Red Line from Russia to Viet Nam.

The block train crossed the Russian-Chinese border at Zabaikalsk-Manzhouli and proceeded across the territory of China entering Viet Nam via the Dong Dang border crossing.

Red Line to Viet NamThe transit time was 20 days, twice shorter than it would have taken to deliver the cargo by sea.

No dates for the next shipment to Viet Nam have been settled yet as RZD Logistics is to analyze the test run with its Vietnamese partners first and then will start actively promoting the service, a spokesperson for the company told SeaNews.

Backload options are also being studied in cooperation with Ratraco. Potential cargo from Viet Nam to Russia is consumer goods, clothes and electronic goods, and from Russia to Viet Nam it can be consumer goods and foodstuffs.
