During the 11 months of 2017, according to the RF Federal Customs Service, Russia imported 580.8 thousand tons of meat and meat products, exceeding the figure for the same period of 2016 by 4.1%.
Canned meat and meat specialties import declined 15.1% to 16 thousand tons.
Fresh and frozen poultry import grew 2.9% year-on-year to 207.3 thousand tons.
Fish import was up 17.6% to 376.8 thousand tons.
Milk and condensed cream import increased 4.8% to 221.6 thousand tons.
Butter import grew 4.1% up to 93.1 thousand tons.
Vegetable oil import surged 4.2-fold making 22 thousand tons.
Citrus fruit import was slightly up by 0.5% to 1.2 mn tons.
Sugar import continued to decline, in January-November raw sugar import was down 94.8% to 13.5 thousand tons and white sugar import down 8% to 226.1 thousand tons.
Coffee import increased 10.9% to 172.2 thousand tons and tea import grew 3.9% to 158.6 thousand tons.
