Azov and Caspian Freight Market, Week 3, 2018

  • The Sea of Azov market has almost stabilized. Trade is not so active and presently affected by USD currency fluctuations.

According to Rufko shipbrokers, owners are keen to fix spot cargoes with some discount, but on the other hand firming up with prompt and especially February indications.

This week freight rates to the Sea of Marmara made $27-28 per ton from Rostov and $26-27 per ton from Yeisk.

Freight rates to South-East Black Sea port were $25-26 per ton from Rostov and $24-25 from Yeisk.

The Caspian Sea market has risen a bit. As majority of Astrakhan traders were taken on COA until March, thus even small disproportion in cargo offers could potentially rise freight levels there.

We remind you that the rates cited in this article are average market rates. We ask our readers to pay attention that this information is not a commercial offer and cannot be an example for comparison in commercial disputes and arbitration proceedings.
