During January-February 2022, the trade turnover between Russia and the countries of the European Union increased by 69.6% year-on-year up to 54.6 bn euro.
According to Eurostat, import from EU countries into Russia was up 19.5% during the first 2 months 2022 making 14.7 bn euro. Export from Russia to the European Union surged 2-fold up to 39.9 bn euro.
Russia rates the fifth among the largest importers from the EU after the USA, the United Kingdom, China and Switzerland.
Among the largest exporters to the EU countries, Russia ranks the third after China and the USA.
