Container Rail Service Between Russia and Europe to be Launched

  • FESCO has announced launching a new rail service between Europe and Russia branded FESCO European Railway Network (FERN).

    Block trains will run between Tilburg (Netherlands) / Duisburg (Germany), Hamburg (Germany) / Milano (Italy) and St. Petersburg / Moscow (Russia) to transport import and export goods.

    The service frequency will be once in 3-4 days eastward and once a week westward. The transit time will make 18 days.

    FESCO said the new FERN service has not restrictions as to the capacity as the Group has containers in its depots in Europe.
