Жд экспорт через порты, 6 месяцев 2021: доля угля в обороте растет, нефтяных и зерновых грузов снижается

Rail Export via Sea Ports Grows YoY, Slides MoM

  • According to Russian Railways, the loading of cargo designated for export via Russian sea ports made 176.6 mn tons during January-June 2021 increasing 9.5% year-on-year.

    52.5% of the entire volume was coal, oil and products accounted for 22.2% of the total export rail freight, ferrous metals for 6.9%, fertilizers for 5.9%, and grain for 2.4% of the total.

    Coal loading increased by 17.4% year-on-year up to 92.7 mn tons during the period under report.

    Coal loading designated for South Russian ports grew by 80.2% year-on-year up to 14.6 mn tons, that to North-Western ports was up 14.1% up to 29.1 mn tons, and that to the Russian Far East up 8% to 49 mn tons.

    All in all, 71.1 mn tons of export cargo, 9.9% above the level of 2020, was designated for the North-West sea ports. The Southern region ports accounted for 46.5 mn tons, up 22.1% year-on-year. Cargo volume loaded for export via the ports of the Russian Far East made 58.9 mn tons, up 8.4% year-on-year.

    In June 2021, 28.5 mn tons of cargo was loaded for export via Russian sea ports, down 12% month-on-month. Export cargo loaded for rail transportation to the North-West sea ports decreased by 12% down to 11.2 mn tons, that designated to the South Russia ports was down 4.9% to 7.7 mn tons, and that to the Russian Far East down 6.9% to 9.4 mn tons.
