First Container Terminal, a part of Global Ports Investments PLC, will add twelve CSC 340 straddle carriers manufactured by Kalmar, a part of Cargotec, before the end of 2018.
The order was booked into Cargotec’s 2017 fourth quarter order intake and delivery will take place during the fourth quarter of 2018.
FCT’s fleet of handling equipment includes a wide range of Kalmar-made equipment, including straddle carriers, reach stackers, empty container handlers, forklift trucks and terminal tractors.
FCT purchases Kalmar straddle carriers as part of Global Ports’ programme for upgrading handling equipment and improving service quality.
