Peas export from the Altay region is growing. According to the RF Federal Customs Service’s statistics, more than 130 thousand tons of peas worth 3.6 bn rubles ($44.3 mn) was exported in January-August 2025.
Tonnage-wise, peas export surged fourfold.
China was the major buyer of Altay-grown peas increasing imports 60-fold compared to the first eight months of 2024.
Also, significant export volumes of peas were designated for Belarus and Kazakhstan.
