Fish and seafood transportation by rail from the Russian Far East is growing, Russian Railways said in their social media account.
During January-August 2025, 62.9 thousand tons of fish was carried, up 18.5% year-on-year including 48.4 thousand tons stuffed in containers, up 14.6%.
The bulk of fish and seafood carried by rail from the Russian Far East was designated for European Russia, the urals and Siberia.
