FESCO Transport Group has launched FESCO Egypt Direct Line (FEDL) between Novorossiysk and Alexandria without transshipment.
The transit time from Alexandria (El Dekheila) to Novorossiysk is six days, same as from Novorossiysk to Alexandria. The service frequency is fortnightly. The 1,080 TEU “FESCO Askold” is deployed.
The service is designed mainly for food and agricultural products in reefer containers. Imports from Egypt consist of vegetables, fruit and plant-based food products, Russian exports include fertilizers and chemical products, grain legumes and other agricultural products, as well as timber and woodwork.
The first call of the “FESCO Askold” at Alexandria was on December 20.
