One-Time Permit for Kazakhstan’s Ships to Pass from Caspian to Baltic

  • The Government of the Russian Federation has granted permission for two Kazakhstan-flagged vessels to pass from the Caspian to the Baltic using Russia’s inland waterways.

An order to this effect was signed by RF Premier Mikhail Mishustin on November 10, 2923.

The MV “Nauryzbay Batyr” and the MV “Otegen Batyr” are allowed to pass during the navigation of 2023 from Astrakhan via the Volga River and the Volga-Baltic Waterway to St. Petersburg.

Earlier this year, five Kazakhstan-flagged ships including the “Nauryzbay Batyr” and the “Otegen Batyr” were allowed to pass from the Caspian to the Sea of Azov using Russia’s inland waterways.
