In 2024, a regular direct shipping line between Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in the Russian Far East and ports in China is planned to be launched.
An agreement to this effect with Chinese partners was achieved by Vladimir Solodov, Governor of the Kamchatka Kray, the regional government said in a statement.
At the initial stage, the service frequency will be monthly to be extended depending on the demand growth. One of the ports to be called in China will be Qingdao, according to Solodov.
