FESCO and Liaoning Port Agree to Cooperate

  • Russia’s FESCO Transport Group and China’s Liaoning Port Group have concluded an agreement on cooperation in organizing container transportation from China to the Bely Rast terminal and logistics center in Moscow region. Bely Rast is a joint venture between Russian Railways and Liaoning Port Group.

The parties also agreed to consider options to launch railway and intermodal container services from China, including Liaoning Province, to other Russian cities.

FESCO and Liaoning Port Group also intend to study the prospect of launching new shipping services from Dalian to Commercial Port of Vladivostok in the Russian Far East, and by deep sea to St. Petersburg.

The document was signed by Yury Plotnikov, Vice President of FESCO, and Wang Zhixian, CEO of Liaoning Port Group, in Moscow, FESCO said in a statement.
