First Block Train with Cars from China at Doskino Terminal

October 9, 2023 the first block train carrying cars made in China arrived at the railway station of Doskino in Nizhny Novgorod region, Russian Railways have reported.

At Doskino, the cars will be customs cleared and placed for storage at the terminal till they are released to consignees.

To make the project work, Russian Railways have modernized the cargo terminal at Doskino extending the rails, arranging a cargo handling yard, acquiring additional equipment and training the personnel.

It is expected that Doskino will now receive block trains on a regular basis.
