Russia Restricts Car Petrol and Diesel Fuel Export

  • The Government of the Russian Federation is limiting the export of car petrol and diesel fuel. An order to this effect has been signed by RF Premier Mikhail Mishustin.

    The decision was made in order to stabilize the prices in the home market, the RF Government press office explains. ‘The temporary restriction will help saturate the fuel market, which will allow of reducing the prices for consumers,’ it said in a statement.

    Prior to this, in order to stabilize the situation in the fuel market, the Government increased the norm of car petrol and diesel fuel supply to the exchange.
