FESCO Transport Group has launched a new railway container service from St. Petersburg to Yekaterinburg branded FESCO Baltic Ural Shuttle, the Group said in a statement.
Trains start from the railway station of St. Petersburg-Finlyandsky once in 10 days and run to the station of Koltsovo. The transit time is 3 to 4 days. Most of the cargo carried is consumer goods and industrial commodities.
The first train carrying 60 TEU arrived to Yekaterinburg on August 26. FESCO intends to launch regular block train by the route.
FESCO Baltic Ural Shuttle is a sixth railway service launched by FESCO from St. Petersburg to other Russian cities. It is designed for both domestic cargo designed from Russia’s Northwest to the Urals and for imports from India, China and Southeast Asia delivered to St. Petersburg by FESCO’s deep sea services via the Suez.
