TransContainer has launched a new regular sea-rail service from Dalian in China to Russia via Vostochny in the Russian Far East, the company said in a statement.
The first vessel left Dalian on June 7 with 20’ and 40’ containers laden with consumer goods, car parts, industrial equipment and other goods on board. The planned voyage frequency is one a week.
After unloading at Vostochnaya Stevedoring Co terminal, part of Global Ports, containers will be delivered to consignees by rail.
TransContainer offers rail delivery to major railway stations in Russia and the CIS, the most popular destinations being Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Rostov-na-Donu, Almaty, and Minsk.
