FESCO Transport Group and RZD Logistics have concluded a cooperation agreement to develop a joint service to speed up cargo delivery from China to Russia.
The service branded RailJet will utilize luggage and mail railcars of the trains running between Moscow and Manzhouli. The service will offer an alternative to both air freight and shipping by sea with a transit time of no more than 5 days and a scheduled twice a week frequency.
The parties expect that the new service will be attractive for customers from the hi-tech and cross-border e-commerce segments. It is designed for transit time sensitive goods that are often carried by air, and for devices containing Li-Ion batteries that are primarily shipped by sea.
