Sovfracht has entered the liquid food products segment of the tankers market by starting offering transportation services shipping liquid food products by its own tanker fleet.
One of the company’s tankers has already started carrying sunflower oil in the Caspian, Sovfracht said in a statement.
Regulations for shipping liquid food products by sea ar,e even more stringent than those set for oil products, Karen Stepanbyan, First Deputy CEO of Sovfracht, noted.
Often, such cargo is unloaded directly from shipboard onto trucks, and the entire batch is split into smaller parcels, which present an additional challenge, he added.
