The Government of Rostov Oblast in South Russia has approved of the regional transport ministry’s initiative to establish a shipping company to be branded Don Passenger Shipping Company.
The authorized capital of the new company will make 105 mln rubles ($1.3 mn), with a share nominal value of 1 ruble. The company will be 100% owned by the Rostov Oblast Government.
It is planned that the company will offer services between Rostov and Azov, Volgodonsk, Yeisk, Anapa, Kerch and Yalta.
At the initial stage of operations, two river-going “Valday 45R” vessels and two sea-going “Meteor 120M” hydrofoils are to be acquired.
