St. Petersburg-based Petrolesport terminal, paer of Global Ports, has put into operation two new high-capacity reach stackers made by Chinese Sany.
The units have a lifting capacity of 45 tons and high maneuverability characteristics. They will be used to handle all container types as well as non-containerized cargo.
The two new reach stackers were acquired in addition to the 11 units already deployed at the terminal. By the end of May, Petrolesport expects to take delivery of three more units, which means the terminal will expand its reach stacker fleet by 45% to 16 units.
