Vanino Port has put into operation a new 45-ton reach stacker acquired under the modernization programme underway in the port, Vanino said in a statement.
The reach stacker will be used to load and unload containers to/from trucks and railway platforms, as well as in the storage yard and customs control zone.
It is the second reach stacker deployed in the port, the first unit was put into operation in 2021 when the company resumed handling containers.
The port expects that expanding the park of handling equipment will help increase the speed of container operations.
