FESCO Transport Group has launched the first block train laden with goods from the APR countries from Vladivostok to Kazan in the framework of its new service branded FESCO Kazan Shuttle.
The project is implemented with the support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, FESCO said in a statement. The first train departed in a ceremony that was part of the programme of the Easttern Economic Forum held this September in Vladivostok.
The departure was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, German Maslov, FESCO Vice President, Liner and Logistics Division, and Vladimir Korchanov, Managing Director of Commercial Port of Vladivostok.
Trains will run twice a month arriving at the Tikhoretskaya railway station in Kazan with a transit time of 11 days. They will carry a wide range of commodities from consumer goods to electronic appliances.
