Belarus to Reorient Export via Russian Ports

  • Belarus is working on agreements to export its products via Russia’s northern and southern port, Alexey Avramenko, Minister of transport and communications of Republic of Belarus, told in a recent meeting to discuss optimization of export logistics schemes.

    ‘A number of solutions have been found. We ought to concentrate on the problems our exporters and freight forwarders are facing and improve our approaches to logistics,’ the press office of the Ministry of transport and communications quotes Avramenko as saying.

    He added that issuing additional permits for Belarussian truckers is being negotiated with a number of countries.

    ‘Developing containerized transportation is also a promising segment that has been demonstrating a growth trend in recent years,’ Avramenko said.
