FESCO Group plans to expand its reefer container park up to 4,000 units by the end of the summer of 2022 under a business development program for Dalreftrans, part of the Group, FESCO said in a statement.
Since the year start, Dalreftrans took delivery of 750 new 40’ units and 100 20’ units of higher capacity. In August, another 200 units are to be delivered. Thus, FESCO will manage a park of some 4,000 reefer containers.
FESCO expects this will be enough to cover the seasonal upsurge in demand for reefer containers during the fishing season in Far East Russia.
At present, the average age of FESCO-operated reefer containers is about 9 years, almost 1.5-fold below that in July 2021.
The Group said it intends to continue expanding its reefer container park.
