Cement to Be Shipped to Kaliningrad by Sea

  • The first shipment of cement designated to Kaliningrad region after Lithuania banned transit of some commodities designated for Kaliningrad via its territory will be made by sea on board the MV “Kholmogory” from Bronka, according to Alexander Rolbinov, Deputy Chair of the Kaliningrad Region government.

To deliver cargo to Kalininghrad, the MV “Ursa Major” deployed between Ust-Luga and Baltiysk will be also used.

Cement will be shipped to the enclave by sea only, Rolbinov said. It will be transported in big bags.

He also added that the RF Ministry of Transport has confirmed additional vessels will be relocated to serve Kaliningrad region within a couple of weeks.
