TransContainer and Magnit have reached an agreement on organizing delivery of goods from China and Southeast Asian countries for the retailer. A document to this effect was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
According to the agreement, TransContainer is to develop new logistics solutions to carry import containers for Magnit. The partners expect that joining their competencies they will be able to improve Magnit’s distribution efficiency and service quality as well as study alternative supply markets from China and other Asian countries.
The parties already started the first shipment of non-food goods from China to Russia via the port of Vostochny to test the economic effect of the cooperation and streamline operations, TransContainer said.
