RTSB-RUS has started delivering LCL cargo by rail from Ganzhou and Xian in China to Russia. The two new routes are Ganzhou – Elektrougli via Zabaikalsk and Xian – Vorsino via Zabaikalsk.
The company also provides LCL services for cargo from Suzhou and Guangzhou to Vorsino. The new routes are aimed for expanding cargo base and optimize supply chains, the company said.
According to RTSB-RUS, LCL traffic from the Shanghai region is growing as the COVID-19 restrictions are being lifted, however, supply chains from Shanghai and Beijing are still under pressure.
The border crossing points on the Chinese border are facing congestion as there is a disbalance between export and import flows, with export prevailing, and rolling stock sent east tends to get stuck there.
The new services are expected to help stabilize the export/import balance and ease the tension, RTSB-RUS said.
