The RF Ministry of Agriculture suggests banning export of rice or a period from July 1 till December 21, 2022. A draft governmental decree developed by the Ministry is currently offered for discussion and consideration.
The temporary embargo on the export of rice and rice flour will not apply to shipments designated for the Eurasian Unit members, to humanitarian aid, and to export under international intergovernmental agreements.
It also does not cover international transit shipments via the territory of Russia originating and designated outside Russia.
Rice also can be delivered to Russian organizations in Baikonur and on Spitzbergen, and to Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Donetsk and Lugansk republics.
