FESCO Sends Silk Road Train Via Kazakhstan

  • FESCO has sent its first block train routed via Kazakhstan in the framework of its FESCO Silk Road service. The train carrying fifty 40’ unit departed Nanking in China on May 4.

    The train will pass the border crossing points of Dostyk in Kazakhstan and Malasheviche in Poland to arrive at Hamburg in Germany. The transit time to Malasheviche will make 18 days and that to Hamburg will be 25 days.

    Most of the cargo is designated for Poland, the rest will travel to Hamburg.

    The next train is scheduled for late May, FESCO said. In future, the train service is planned to be offered on a regular basis.
