According to the RF Federal Customs Service statistics, during January-November 2021 Russia imported 52.1 mn pairs of leather footwear, up 14.5% year-on-year. In terms of value, leather footwear import increased by 20.8% year-on-year up to some $1.5 bn.
Clothes import into Russia grew by 14.5% up to more than $7.3 bn.
Cotton fabric import during the first 11 months was up 29% year-on-year to up to $197.4 mn.
Cotton fabric export from Russia increased by 6.5% year-on-year down to make $49.5 mn.
In November, leather footwear import grew by 23.8% year-on-year and declined by 27.8% month-on-month making 2.6 mn pairs worth $84.1 mn, up 17.9% year-on-year and down 33.8% month-on-month.
Clothes import was up 15.5% year-on-year and down 18.3% month-on-month to $561.6 mn.
Cotton fabric import in November grew by 17.2% year-on-year and by 6.5% month-on-month amounting to $19.8 mn.
Cotton fabric export increased by 23.4% year-on-year and by 26.1% month-on-month to make $5.8 mn.
