The Government of the Russian Federation has approved of the country’s Transport Strategy 2035 developed by the Ministry of transport. The decision was made at the session of the Government on November 26.
According to Transport Minister Vitaly Saveliev, the Strategy reflects the drastic technology and macroeconomic changes in Russia and worldwide as well as such global trends as decarbonization, green transport, and energy transition and is based on the Presidential decrees on Russia’s national targets and strategic tasks.
The Transport Strategy for the first time includes a digital transformation block that envisages initiatives in the sphere of automated transport, ‘lighthouse’ projects, e-documents, digitalizing transport infrastructure and introducing digital passenger profiles.
