OTEKO Group has put into operation the largest and most powerful coal loading system in Russia at its terminal in the port Taman at the conjunction of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.
The system consists of a reclaimer with 10.6 m bucket wheel, a roofed conveyor belt and a vessel loading machine. With a loading speed of 8,000 tons per hour it allows of reducing the loading time for a Capesize bulker from the current 48 hours to 25 hours.
In the near future, OTEKO plans to put into operation another similar powerful loading system. After it is put into operation in 2022, the terminal capacity will make 72 mn tons per annum.
