Russia’s Krasnoe Sormovo Shipyard, part of United Shipbuilding Corporation, has announced hiring additional workforce to cope with the orderbook it has secured.
In May, the yard was awarded a contract for building a series of 11 RSD59 Design dry cargo ships for State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) to be delivered in 2022.
Krasnoe Sormovo is also building a series of Design KSP01 crab fishing boats, the first project of the kind in Russia.
By the end of the year the yard intends to recruit almost 600 workers and engineers. 290 new employers have already been hired.
