Ruscon, part of Delo Group, launched a direct container train service from Jinan in China to Vorsino in Kaluga region in Russia via the territory of Mongolia.
The first train ran in September. The delivery of 50 containers with consumer goods along the new route took a total of 25 days. At the moment, the service is operated on a monthly schedule, in future, it is planned to increase the service frequency.
“We pay special attention to the development and expansion of the geography of train services from China, trying to cover all the key transport hubs of this country. In particular, a few days ago, a container train was sent for the first time from the coastal Yantai to Vorsino through the Zabaikalsk station, earlier – from Jiaozhou, the China-SCO regional cooperation zone, to Moscow. Now the time has come for Jinan, where the highways from Beijing and Qingdao intersect, and rail routes connect it with many large and medium-sized cities in China”, Andrey Chernyshev, First Vice President of Ruscon, said.
